HorizonIstanbul Education and Consulting is the founder and director of the center. He is also the leader of the training and consulting staff.
He received his foreign education consultancy certificate in 1998 by participating in the Harvard University Summer Institute program. In the following years, she became a member of educational organizations such as OACAC, CIS and ECIS and had the opportunity to follow all developments in the field of education by attending their annual conferences.
She completed her primary and high school education abroad and graduated from Marymount High School in Paris. After completing her undergraduate studies in English Language and Literature at Boğaziçi University, she completed her master's degree in Linguistics at the same university. During this period, she also received her certificate of education from Boğaziçi University and carried out an applied graduation project on English language teaching models in high schools in Turkey.
Sedef Yucad, who started her career in education after completing her education, started her journey in this field as an English instructor at the American Cultural Association. With the experience she gained, she quickly rose to the position of Head of English Department at YWCA. She worked as a freelancer for a while, teaching different age groups. In 1983, she founded the first 2-5 year old "play group" in Istanbul and taught English to a group of ten students, and then she taught English to middle and high school students. Most recently, she taught undergraduate and graduate students in the English preparatory program at Istanbul University.
In 1997, Sedef Yucad founded HorizonIstanbul Dershanesi, where she taught SAT, TOEFL, IELTS, GRE and GMAT courses, laying the foundation for the curriculum of today. Sedef Yucad says, "The experience I gained by teaching all age groups has been my greatest guide in my own classrooms and consultancy career." Sedef Yucad wants the HorizonIstanbul education program to be implemented not only in Istanbul but also in every corner of Turkey.
Sedef Yucad, who says at every opportunity that she values family, love, reliability and creativity, has created a family atmosphere in her company. Today, HorizonIstanbul is developing in different areas such as education, consultancy, art and children, but everyone who joins the staff is already a part of the family or immediately becomes a part of it and starts to work devotedly. Sedef Yucad states that her most important supporters are Ceren Yucad and Ali Yucad, and she is very happy to think that with their joining HorizonIstanbul, her vision will develop with their current and creative perspectives and will serve the next generations. The founder, who states that the principle of "The main thing in consultancy is up-to-date information and its transfer with honesty" is the mission of all HorizonIstanbul consultants, says that she is proud of her team of educational consultants and thinks that this company she founded is one of the most enjoyable achievements of her life.
